Don't worry. When you hear noises and you're in a tight spot, it's not ALWAYS a bad thing. I know I'm mean, but I'm not THAT mean...said after killing your only way out >< But that was just unlucky rolls and only one level of defense for him ><

Huh? I'm cruel, yes, but I wasn't expecting your safest way out to end up dying >< Go ahead and have Mep break down the door or something. I'll let it auto-succeed and crush one of the guards under it. If you want. To make it more fair and such.

hmmm...
i do have a last resort before that... it just would have been better for Fivlar to fireball the door and let Mep do the rest.

The new system is basically: Attacks do the same damage, but to a body part (unless they hit more) Divide the damage by your character's size (I'll just use height, rounded down) and that's the damage that body part takes. A body part is severed (or at the very least unusable) when it reaches that size number (so, Mep has a size of 9. Each body part of his can take the equivalent of 81 damage). The remainder of the damage (say the attack did 75 damage to Meptoa's leg. That's 8 wounds to his leg, and 3 left over) goes to their HP, which is now Body * (size/2) + d6 per level + any modifiers from traits.
This obviously means the armor will change. It reduces damage (in the same situations it would be cut with the current system) by one die type for each rank. So if an attack did 3d8 damage, it would do 3d6 against tier 1 armor. If it gets to d2, then the number of dice is reduced. So if someone had tier 4 armor defended against a 3d8 damage attack, that damage would be reduced to 2d2.
Make sense?

i am unsure about one part, whether it was mistyped or whether it is meant as it is written: the part about the remainder of damage going to the opponents hp, and the '8 wounds to his leg and 3 left over' part makes no sense to me.
anyway, if we were to do so, Trobilu's Deft Strike skill would carry more weight in battle.

Okay, his size is 9. If he took 75 damage to his leg, that would be 8 wounds, since 75 / 9 = 8.something. The remainder is 3, since 9 * 8 = 72, and 75 - 72 is 3. That 3 is the damage he takes to HP.
And yes, Deft Strike, if we do this, will factor in to called shots (but only called shots).
HP loss rules would stay the same, but if the head took enough damage, the character is dead. Oh, and the head takes an extra die of damage, so if you hit it for 5d2 damage, it would take 6d2.

it sounds good, lets give it a try at least, and we'll go from there, agreed?

It involves me changing HP and everything, too -___- I have to convert the damage Mep took. It'll all be directly to HP, and will be proportional to what he has now.
All those d2s will be d6s now, by the way, but there will be 2 less dice rolled.
These numbers are for size 5, unless otherwise stated in the descriptions: d6 = Standard physical attack (punch, kick) 3d6 = Light Weapon attack (dagger, knife, short sword, shortbow) 5d6 = Medium Weapon attack (Longsword, longbow) 7d6 = Heavy Weapon attack (Greatsword, battleaxe, a peasant swung by their leg) 3d20 = Standard Explosions. This is applied to EVERY limb.
Also, 0 HP is just passed out. They don't die from that. They only die if they're left unconscious for too long or from losing their head or guts. Mep only has one central body portion, unfortunately. Or fortunately, since attacks that hit his whole body will do less damage to his actual HP.
I changed all the HP and the CSs to fit the new system. I also changed the Flesh Mending spell. Even more practical use now. The HP is subject to change, still. It may go down.
