Oriana listened to all of this contently. As long as she could scare them, she didn't care. "I don't wish to lead them and I will be a poor example of someone to spare the life of a man. Killing him would not be a problem for me; I've killed many men. I do not think of him as a father. There is no bond." She shrugged. "If I must keep him alive, I wish to punish him at the very least. Something painful, but not deadly. Make an example of him.
"And if I must rule, I rule as a true leader of the people on the path of free will. I will rule commanding both fear and respect, and allowing them to do as they will for the benefit of the clan. And if I do not rule, I will make sure they follow that code. They will live and die by that code."

"That sounds fair enough. Though you have no qualms about ending his life, he is my grandson and I am hesitant to kill him, though if that is the best option then that is what shall be done. At first light we leave for the Derin'ur. We should run into the clan about three days into the journey. You will distract them by imbuing your dances with powerful magic and with the help of Xaras. I will get the horn and destroy it."
Rowlous spoke the words not as a command, but in a tone signaling the end of the conversation. He was an old man and he needed his sleep, expecially since this was his first night in a real bed in quite a while. He set his pack down and sat down on the bed in the room.
"I'm going to sleep child, you may stay in here if you like but you have your own room right next door should you desire some rest."

((Sorry, I haven't been spending much time on the computer; I've been busy. I hope you don't mind X____X I'm using a communal computer, too, so I don't have long to be on here, especially since I have to use it for other stuff, too. Not to mention this computer's not very fast...at all...like...it takes at least 10x as long to do stuff...and I have a netbook; not exactly known for speed <.< (mind you, it IS a lot faster than ones with Vista <.< I'll stop rambling so I have time to actually post >.>))
Oriana nodded, sat on the floor by the window, and looked out. The sun had set completely while they were in here. This window can't be safe. Someone could easily find us. A single arrow, from that tree there... She shook her head to get the thought out. It wasn't worth thinking about how meaningless these buildings were. She looked for other things to, well, look at.
She sat up on her knees to look down at the ground more easily. The felt on the inside of the dress and the leather itself were surprisingly comfortable...then again, a thin dress on this hard floor would have been horrible. She was happy she had this new one.
On the ground below, she saw a man pacing nervously. She watched him with much curiosity for a time, eventually trying to listen in to what he was mumbling to himself. She would have considered using her magic to amplify her hearing, but the last time she did that, she had a headache for nearly a week. She picked up a few words, but could make no meaning. There were questions, she knew that much, a lot of questions. She didn't know what they were, of course, but they had something to do with money.
Finally, her eyes convinced her it was time to sleep; they convinced her so strongly, she fell asleep with her chin on the windowsill. She awoke almost an hour later with a cramp in her neck, naturally, but she hadn't expected to see the man still there like he was. Only now, he'd stopped pacing and sat on a bench facing away from the window. What could make him stay there for so long? she asked herself and decided to watch him for a while. While she watched, she drifted in and out of cramp-inducing sleep, always waking up to see him in a different position, but never once did he look up at her (at least from what she saw).
((If you want, you can control him. If not, I'm sure I can think of some ideas ^~^))

((I'll leave it up to you))
Rowlous slept soundly. He had no dreams except one, and it felt eerily like a vision, though his brain recognized it as a dream. He saw Oriana, stirring listlessly in an empty space while man with a face chock full of normalcy looked upon her as though through a window. Though his face was soft and kind, his eyes were full of malice.
When Rowlous awoke at first light he was troubled by the dream but elected to say nothing. He was sure that even with the slight training he had given her, Oriana could handle the man in the dream. There was something about his eyes, however, that Rowlous just couldn't get out of his head.
He saw that she was awake when he rolled out of bed. He waved his hand over his face, muttered a few words, and the grogginess that plagued his head vanished. He placed the various displaced contents of his robe back where they belonged, shouldered his pack and motioned to her that it was time to go, being silent in respect of the other guests nearby.

Oriana smiled and picked up her stuff, then went outside. She indeed got far fewer looks of shock than she was used to. Apparently, her clothes were more inspiring of fear before than her face, even though so many had seen her before. "It shouldn't take too long to run into them." She said, mostly to herself. She nodded at the idea and looked around. She moved her fingers around in front of her thoughtlessly, except to tell herself which direction to go. She pointed the opposite direction to the one they had come from. She started walking, seeing the man she had seen earlier. He didn't notice her like she had him during the night. I can't just ask him if he got what he was waiting for... Yet, she had started to. She was already walking in his direction unthinkingly. He saw her coming and stood.
"Hello, miss..." He left a pause, but Oriana had no intention of introducing herself.
"I saw you outside last night. I was in the inn." She pointed at the inn as if he'd have no idea where it was. "You looked nervous."
He looked at her confusedly. "I did? I wasn't out here last night...or were you looking in my window? I was at the inn."
((I'd add more, but I'm REALLY sleepy all of a sudden. Feel free to do what you want with him...well, not THAT, but...other stuff...like...this sort of RP stuff, not the other sort.))
