Name: The Doctor
Age: 947
Race: Time Lord
Appearance: (Depends on my mood)
Clothing: (Depends on my mood)
Talents: His mind is significantly more powerful than that of most humans. He can telepathically communicate with other people who possess that ability. Through physical contact he can enter the minds of any sentient being, although a powerful mind would be able to hide away its memories from The Doctor’s mind. He is extremely well-versed on the history and technology of the universe. He can quickly identify and repair or disable any piece of technology from any planet and any era. The Doctor’s most unique ability is immortality. His race possessed the ability to regenerate their bodies a limited number of times when they were near death. The Doctor can regenerate no matter what and there is no limit to how many times it can happen. He is also a master of Venusion Kung-fu. Being extremely brilliant, The Doctor is able to read extremely quickly. He can flip through a 300 page book like a flip book and read every word. Time Lords have the natural ability to see the past, present and all possible futures, all at the same time.
Physiological traits and abilities: Like all Time Lords, The Doctor has two hearts. He also has a “respiratory bypass system” which allows him to survive strangulation. Furthermore, he can survive exposure to the vacuum of space for a short period of time with no ill effects. He is able to stop both his hearts beating at will, to give the temporary appearance of death. The Doctor’s body is much more resilient than that of a human’s and can withstand many types of things that would kill any normal person. Time Lords have significantly more stamina than humans and need very little sleep. To watch a Time Lord sleep, it would appear that they are able to pack 8 hours of rest into a single hour of sleep. In the event of poisoning, Time Lords are able to stimulate the inhibited enzymes into reversal by ingesting a certain sequence of minerals, followed by a shock.
Weapons: Like all Time Lords, The Doctor is a natural-born pacifist. He doesn’t use actual weapons. Instead, he uses a device called a Sonic Screwdriver, a piece of Psychic Paper and his ship, the TARDIS.
The Sonic Screwdriver can be used for an nearly infinite number of things, including quickly disabling or totally deconstructing any piece of machinery. It's also good for opening locked doors and putting up a lot of shelves in a very short amount of time.
The Psychic Paper looks like an ordinary piece of paper in a leather wallet. It shows whoever looks at it whatever The Doctor wants them to see, but it may reveal the truth about him if he doesn't concentrate.
The exterior of the TARDIS is completely invulnerable (Don't worry, I'm only going to arrive in the TARDIS, not spend any time hiding in it). The interior is in a state of "Temporal Grace", which means that anything deadly outside of the TARDIS has no effect on the inside. The controls of the TARDIS are isomorphic, which means they only work for The Doctor and whoever he decides to let pilot it. The lock on the door of the TARDIS requires a key, but also the correct sequence of key turns, to unlock it, otherwise the TARDIS goes into lockdown and will only open when the scanners detect The Doctor.
Bio: The Time Lords were among the first, and most powerful, races in the universe. They lived on the planet Gallifrey, in the constellation of Kasterborous, in a far-off galaxy. They were arguably the most technologically advanced race in the history of the universe. They shared their technology with only one race. That race came to see them as gods, but drove the Time Lords from their planet after growing to fear them. This revolt led the Time Lords to institute their policy of non-intervention.
For millennia, The Time Lords lived in peace, simply watching the rest of the universe grow. It was only when a mutant race, called the Daleks, threatened to destroy all living creatures in the universe did the Time Lords decide to do something. The Daleks were unreasonable, and the Time Lords knew this, so they didn’t bother attempting a diplomatic solution. They took up arms and stood before the Daleks, all over the Time Lords’ home planet of Gallifrey. The Doctor fought on the front lines, just as all other Time Lords did. The Doctor watched as, all around him, his fellow Time Lords fell at the hands (or rather, tentacles) of the Daleks. When all seemed lost, The Doctor had a stroke of brilliance. He turned and ran for his TARDIS, ignoring the cries of “Coward!” He wasn’t fleeing the battle, but running to enact a plan to defeat the Daleks. A grave miscalculation, or possibly an accident or just an unforeseen possibility, destroyed not only the Daleks, but the Time Lords and Gallifrey as well.
Because of their naturally long lifespan, the early Time Lords needed a way to combat the aging process. They developed the process of bodily regeneration, through which they could cheat death. Whenever a Time Lord’s body was close to death, every single cell of it would radiate with energy, mutating them into something potentially completely different. The only thing safe from the change was the memories and knowledge of the regenerating Time Lord. The body, the personality and even the gender of the Time Lord could potentially be different after the regeneration. The process could mutate the cells so much that the Time Lord may even lose his or her human-like appearance.
One of the founding fathers of Gallifrey, Rassilon, was the only Time Lord to achieve true immortality. Timeless, perpetual, indefinite bodily regeneration. For reasons unknown, Rassilon was locked away in a tower. This tower was located in the wasteland of Gallifrey known as the Death Zone. The Death Zone was used by the ancient Time Lords in playing The Game of Rassilon. Using a machine called the Time Scoop, the ancient Time Lords would kidnap beings from space and time and drop them in the Death Zone to fight to the death. Each Time Lord playing the game would select and abduct a creature or group of creatures to battle in the Death Zone and the Time Lord who selected a certain creature or group would be betting on them. The victorious creature or group was sent back to their proper place in time and space, but if they made their way into the Dark Tower of Rassilon, past the traps and into Rassilon’s chamber the Time Lord betting on them would be teleported to the chamber to receive the promised prize: immortality. Rassilon constructed the chamber himself. Having foreseen the coming war with the Daleks, Rassilon prepared his chamber to ride the shockwave of the planet’s destruction out into space and time. Eventually the chamber emerged from the Time Vortex and crashed onto 22nd century Earth, where The Doctor encountered it. The Doctor entered the chamber and immediately recognized it, having been there once before in his 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th incarnations. The mind of Rassilon spoke to The Doctor. He told The Doctor that he would bestow all his powers upon him. Before The Doctor could protest that he’d eventually like the release of death, Rassilon had infused all his abilities into The Doctor and crumbled to dust.
The Doctor, being a time-traveler, generally doesn’t stay in one time or place. He travels through time and space and only stays until he’s not needed or he’s gotten bored. Generally, The Doctor sticks with the 21st century when he returns to Earth, only doing so in the event of a grave disaster or when he runs out of milk. Signs of The Doctor turn up throughout Earths history, including an Egyptian hieroglyph depicting his Tardis.
