The rules here are pretty simple:
1) Respect everyone. This means, among other things, no flaming, trolling, or other things of that nature. For example, if you decide you don't want to be here anymore, don't post in every board how much you hate a particular member. That's rude and childish. It doesn't reflect well on you.
2) Try to speak clearly. No tlkng lyk dis. 0r +h15. You know the word; a few tiny fractions of a second aren't going to hurt you. I recommend spell checking everything, but of course, spell the CORRECT word (i.e., There =/= Their =/= They're, etc. Even if it's not your native language, it can only help you learn if you practice speaking it correctly. Of course, perfection isn't expected, but expect someone to tell you to explain what you mean if you don't speak clearly. If you refuse and get reported, I WILL go in and change it.
3) Introduce yourself before posting. Please try to say more than just "hi!" This kind of ties in with Rule 1. It's respectful to other members to say who you are before butting into conversations.
4) Do not post in a RP (roleplay) until your character is accepted in the OOC (Out-of-Character) topic for it. Again, this is tied to Rules 1 and 3. Your character should be approved by the GM (Game Master), as they will know if your character will fit into their campaign.
5) No explicit content without having "(Mature)" in the title. It's just as easy to imply content that's inappropriate for younger members, or even easier, than it is to say it. This is directly tied to Rule 1, again. Explicit content is:
It's okay if you want to do these in PMs, so long as the other people involved want to, too.
If you don't know if your post will break a rule or two, just PM a mod with the subject "Is this okay to post?" or something like that. It's better to do that than it is to post it and have it reported. If it gets reported, moderators get an annoying message, so it'll get taken care of immediately.
Keep in mind that mods aren't necessarily going to find these on their own. If you see someone breaking the rules, report the post to a mod (the button should be in the bottom right corner of the post).
6) Please, if you are under 18 years of age, do not enter threads with the "(Mature)" tag. If you are known to be underage and join one of these threads, you will be banned, if only for a little while.
Thank you for reading! Go forth and post!

- Excessive Gore (though fighting is allowed, of course, just don't describe the way you crush someone's head, down to the shape of the cracks. This IS allowed with the "(Mature)" tag),
- Sexual Content (this can be easily avoided, trust me. Sexual content is allowed, just don't describe it in detail; if possible, just hint that it's happening. This IS allowed with the "(Mature)" tag.),
- Excessive Profanity (Profanity is allowed, just not every other word. If you say something here or there, I'm not going to ban you. If more than 10% of your post is profanity (that's very generous compared to what some admins do), expect Excaliban to come down on you. If there are equal to or less than 10 words, I'll make that 2 words instead of 10%. This IS allowed with the "(Mature)" tag), and
- Sexually or Graphically Inappropriate Images (This includes, but is not limited to, pornography, pictures of decapitations, etc, but does not include artistic nudes or things like Bodies: The Exhibition, nor does it include screenshots from (non-erotic) games that contain gore (though nudity is not allowed in this case without express permission from a moderator). This is NOT allowed, even with the "(Mature)" tag).
It's okay if you want to do these in PMs, so long as the other people involved want to, too.
