Fivlar looked down the path, "we should go, before something comes up..." Trobilu nodded and walked on, leading the party.

[Port District: Nelei, Pietra, Feryn, Ivaylo]
Nelei, Pietra, Feryn, and Ivaylo spent the next hour in the captain's quarters, talking about how they were going to get out of the port. Once they finished, the three females hid where Ivaylo said they wouldn't be caught. He left, and returned a few minutes later with an inspector, who looked more scared than dutiful, something Ivaylo was happy to find. The inspector spent almost no time at all looking around and gave the okay for the ship to leave. Ivaylo ordered his men to prepare to set sail. "They will be leaving when the glass is empty!" He turned over an hourglass in his quarters. "It is safe for these three to roam. He recommends they stay in his quarters so they are not seen."
[Port Road (out of city): Meptoa, Trobilu, Fivlar]
They don't make it very far before they're rushed, without foresight (failed roll), by nearly every guard in the district, a total of nineteen. A few wear the marks of those of much, much higher ranks, including one who looks like the Captain of the Guard. Thankfully, however, all the guards hold back, and the captain looks at them all proudly, and calls out with an equally proud voice. "For your crimes, you are to be executed publicly in three days time in the center of the Faith District. Your crimes, as they've been reported to me, are multiple counts of murder, assisting dangerous criminals, assault of the guards, and assisting mages."
The guards escort them all to the prison and bind them with magic (since sometimes the only way to fight magic is with magic). The jailer, a giant of a man, with his enchanted keys is across the room, afraid, even with magical bindings and layers of bars, but still affected by the fatigue of a full day on the job without sleep.
(This doesn't leave much for you to do. Your characters can't move (yet), but they can think and talk. You can try to get the jailer to talk or wait. Unless you can think of another way. Mep's MI check passed for one layer of magic, but not the other, so he's still bound. He passed a Heart check to convince them he couldn't move his legs. Keep in mind that if he tries to escape, the Jailer will alert the other guards, who are nearby. He'll be suspicious of Mep's movements, but not call the guards if he walks around. Fivlar gets a vision of fire and stone ripping through one of the walls, but can't tell which or what the source is. He can tell the others or not. The Jailer won't believe him either way.)

(i could have taken em ) (also, i have ways to get out of tight spots. also, to what extent do the magic bindings effect things, is it just to bind their arms and legs?) [Jail: Fivlar, Meptoa, Trobilu] Meptoa sits there, unable to communicate without his hands and tries to break the bond. Fivlar leans back against the stone wall, "so, i see youre back up to your theatrics?" "yes...," Trobilu answered. "i couldnt leave three women against hunters, that is just wrong, i still have my honor, although it is primarily buried by my way of life." (i am awaiting answers before choosing a line of action.)

(If you really want me to redo it and have you fight the level 30 captain who makes all your characters' combined stats look like an ant, I can always edit...
And the bindings will more than likely hold against pretty much anything. Don't worry, I didn't intend to leave you there very long. And I never said this is where my demon comes in ^~^ She could go through any number of stone walls. The bindings pretty much just hold arms and legs in place. Swing your hips right and you could...fall on your face, maybe. You'll still be bound and unable to do anything if you shadow step, but you could get past the bars...and get all the guards after you if you're not really careful. Only thing benefiting Fivlar is foresight.)

(I was hoping you'd say that ^~^ Base 22 - 4 (Body) - 4 (Unarmed Fighting) - 4 (Magic Immunity) = Required roll of 10 or higher. Roll: 12. Success.)
Meptoa forces the bonds on his arms free. It's loud, but not loud enough to make the jailer suspicious.

(hehehe! here we go! i dont think you will see this one coming...)
[jail] Meptoa gets Trobilu's attention, and silently and hiddenly communicates an idea. Trobilu looks at him like hes nuts, but grudgingly agrees...
Meptoa quickly and fluidly: stands up, grabs Trobilu, and flings him as hard as he can into a shadow. Trobilu uses the Shadow Step ability to vanish and reappear aimed directly at the jailor...
(what do you think? a hell of an idea?)

(Saw something along those lines coming. I should have been more specific, because I meant they were in different cells >< My mistake. Not sure what good it'll do you. Trobilu can't do anything once he's out and whether the jailer lives or dies, the other guards will hear it. Not to mention that the keys will still be on the jailer and there's no way to get them back to Mep...)

(Sorry about that. It was my mistake. You don't need to worry about the separate cells. And the guards are around the same level as you. Three outside, plus the level 8 jailer. For the others, Base 22 for arms, 24 for legs. Can use his an an improvised weapon if he gets out, too, since their equipment was taken away. Trobilu needs a 20 to release his arms and his legs are stuck. I'm debating whether to allow Fivlar to use Inner Focus as a bonus for this, since it's pretty much expanded willpower. If I don't, he has the same chance as Trobilu. If I do: 16 for arms, 18 for legs. You know what? Sure. 16 for arms, 18 for legs for Fivlar.)
