Satisfied with the human's curt reply, Yxia nodded slightly before jumping off of her manticore without even bothering to command Lethos to yield. She knelt to one knee to absorb the shock as she landed nimbly from what would have been an impossible height for a human before quickly rising back to her feet, looking as calm and focused as ever and in no rush to draw her weapons. She'd deemed it more convenient to leave her bow and quiver with Lethos, taking only her enchanted blades with her to the duel. Still looming over her, the great manticore leaned forward threateningly until he was no more than a few inches above her head, unleashing a fearsome roar towards the Balan commander and his forces while deploying its wings to their maximum span. Satisfied with the display, Lethos batted hos gigantic leathery wings and began his ascent towards the clouds where he would remain circling until his master called on him once again.
Yxia seemed pleased with her mounts' protectiveness as well as its obedience, as could be inferred from the subtle smile which had formed on her lips, seemingly displaying a sense of pride in the beast. Keeping her eyes locked on to Leon in an intensely chilling glare, the dark elf casually undid the onyx clip which held her cloak before discarding the garment to the side, leaving her with nothing but her armor and the pair of wickedly curved short swords hanging from her sides. Stepping into the middle of the improvised dueling circle formed by the soldiers of either nation, Yxia stood stoically as she awaited her opponent to step forward and join her. A very temporary and unspoken ceasefire had formed between the Aienster and Balan forces as they all stood back, shouting words of encouragement to their champions as well as taunts towards the enemy hero. Yxia hardly noticed, however, as her complete and undivided attention was on the man with whom she would be locking swords momentarily.

(you are doing a good bit of auto hitting here) Kunwir disregaurded the gaps in the armor as Marcus could see a white smoke through them. a darknes covered the slashes as he held the Zweihänder in front of him vertically, chanting softly in an ancient language. the blade extended, becoming twice the length as the mace grew bigger. Kunwir sped up more, now striking from up to 14 ft away. he did a low sweep with the zweihänder, throwing the mace at the same time.

=Rurik Aian=
As Rurik stabbed and sliced his way through Garis's army, he suddenly heard a commotion in the forest. Faint above the roar of battle, but he heard it.
"Her pets have found something... I wonder." Rurik mused as he stabbed deep into the heart of another soldier. He'd abandoned his 'hydra form' when he'd realized having armor would be more important. He then advanced towards the forest, "Oh Ceciliaaaa, where aaaare you?" He called out with an amused laugh. This battle had him in such a good mood. "I'd like to see your pretty little face... so I can cut it off!" He shouted more loudly. He'd find her. It was only a matter of time now that he might have a lead.
=Aeron=
He noticed now the beasts on the field. He'd heard that this would likely be an issue. There was a high ranker in Aeinster... a female Dark elf who controlled them. He knew dealing with her could definitely turn the battle in their favor. Always aim for the head if the opportunity presented itself. This woman wasn't quite the head, but she was a major organ in Aeintser's war effort.
As he pressed on through Aeinster's army, quite literally in some cases, he soon reached the area where he saw Balan forces. He also saw the Dark elf before long, entering combat with a man who's description matched what he'd heard of Leon, leader of the Balan forces.
There was a ring around them. Both forces watching what was about to become a duel. He'd watch as well. If Leon fell, he knew that the elf woman would likely be tired. He was not above taking advantage of that.

Leon Brave
The calm smile on Leon's face never changed as he stepped forward. He waved his sword out to the side, commanding his men to stay back before adjusting his left arm guard. "I'll let you start. It's not courteous to strike a lady first," he said, that same smile never leaving his face. Completely calm and controlled. He held the rapier out, pointed directly at Yxia's heart. He was given Aienster more mercy than he should have. He could have launched himself forward and began the duel. But he showed her the courtesy he would show any soldier of Balan or Garis that asked for a duel. First strike and a fair chance to guard against his attack. "Ready when you are."
Cecilia Light
Cecilia ducked as a werewolf lunged forward. Her knife dug into its stomach, spilling its entrails on the ground as it crashed, lifeless. She spun around adn slashed another across the eye. She was getting into the fight. Her instincts were coming out. She may not remember much of her old self or the life she had led, but it was clear she had practice. All of her movements flowed together instinctually. She weaved past another wolf, stabbing down on the head of another that had tried to get at her comrades. She'd already lost two to these bastards. She didn't plan on letting them take more.
She spun back as another one lunged for her. All it received was a black blade, Yang, coming up under its chin and through its skull. She tore it away, throwing the beast to the side as she jabbed yet another one in the eye. Yanking on the pristine white blade known as Yin, she pulled herself atop it, slamming Yang down on its skull. Grunting, she pushed away, glancing around at what remained. They were rustling in the trees. Hiding. They had frightened them off. But what concerned her was how werewolves were here. They would be normal humans unless a full moon was out. How was Marcus manipulating them this much?
Grunting, she twirled her blades and readied for the next assault.
Marcus Benign
The Emperor smiled condescendingly at the man. He was becoming bored with this. Did Balan and Garis truly have nothing to offer?
He slashed out with his scimitar. The mace was struck through, the same energy sealing the end against regeneration and cutting the mace in half. "Now then. I suppose I should end this..." he said with a small sadistic smile. He jabbed his blade forward, stabbing into Kunwir's sword arm before he could react. He murmured a single word in a foreign language and a burst of magic erupted. The magic that was sealing off his regeneration. It raged through his arm, destroying the limb easily, the stump that remained glowing uselessly at his side.

=Rurik Aian=
He heard battle now. He could hear the werewolves. He was getting close. Then he saw. TH=he werewolves may have been retreating, but now Cecilia had something much scarier to fight.
Rurik.
"AHA!" he didn't care about giving his position away. "Look who I found crawling through the bushes. If it isn't Cecilia! Just who I was looking for. Now, the only question is this: do I have to kill all of your men before I get to kill you? Or are you gonna fight me right now?" Rurik shouted, though not in an angry manner, he just felt like making a grand entrance and letting them know he was there. He'd know if someone got too close. He was actively 'scanning' for the material making up weapons and armor. Anything got too close, and he'd stop it easily.
They were already sneaking, so he'd be disappointed if they didn't have a rear guard or something to protect them from a counter ambush. Not that it would matter against him...

"Bored.......bored.......bored.......bored......bored.....bored." Lina muttered as she dropped the latest pieces of her most recently shredded blade of grass into her lap. She stood up and brushed off her skirt after she decided to go check on Kunwir again. So far she was tired of watching her colleague getting himself in over his head. At least, that's how it appeared to her. But, then again, in her mind a kill that wasn't executed within four minuets of the planned time was in over someone's head. She'd been trained to be precise, accurate, and modest. She expected the same from other assassins,
As the grass bits fluttered down to the ground off her dress, she went to check on Kunwir again, sighing as she saw the fight had yet to finish. "Hurry up and die already." She muttered, glaring at the two who were fighting. She wanted to get her payback already. Of course, she couldn't expect the other man to know that, nor to understand how she felt. After all, she highly doubted that he had lost the man he loved to this bastard. Then again, she also wasn't sure whether or not he had a man he loved. She wasn't planning on finding out ether, though she had nothing against him if he did love a man.
Once she'd shoved her thoughts of lovers and revenge aside, she turned from the fight to sigh and sit down again. "Maybe I should burn down the forest. It would at least give me something to DO." She muttered sarcastically. Moments later she looked around havingshe heard a noise to her left. She slunk closer and crouched behind a bush to listen. She could hear two men which she guess to both be from Aienster based on their accents. Actually, she had been rather surprised she'd been accepted in with the others so easily. Her accent definitely gave away where she was from. Settling back to listen to the two men with such familiar accents, she smirked as she realized there was something she could do to keep from being bored.
"Man, I hate this." The one muttered as he kicked off the top of a dandelion. "Why'd I have to be one of the seventeen selected for this? One less and I could have been out there in the action! I wanted to try and get a good match with that beast they have. My pa taught me how to slaughter a bull right and proper. I'd have loved to do that to the thing."
"That's fifty paces." His companion answered. "You stay here, I'll take the final spot. And don't worry, I heard they have a giant in this war. Just try to pick him off. But keep your arrows away from Yxia. I'm willing to bet she'll be only too happy to kill you if you slaughter the man she's going after. Stupid elf, we shouldn't have to take orders from scum like her....." He added under his breath. With a sigh, he shook his head and started off, marching off to take his place in line.
Lina grinned. Time to play! She snuck up behind the whiner with her knife out and ready. He was dead before he could fire so much as one bolt. Pleased to have something to do, she went around to find the other sixteen, leaving their bodies in different positions, each one a gory display of art. She got though fifteen of them, and was in the middle of rearranging the bones of her latest kill, when she realized someone was watching her.
Lina glanced up, offering a little, sheepish grin as she saw the final archer who she had to kill. "Hello." She said brightly, standing up and giving him her most innocent look. Being coated in blood didn't help her case much. Nor did standing in the middle of her latest, most grotesque kill.
The man stared at her for a moment, then started screaming. Lina cursed. Turning, he ran out onto the battle field, weaving his way past thousands of blades, both friend and foe. Making a beline for who he thought would help him most, he practically smashed into Avaarick he looked up at him. "Help! She's crazy! A demon, in the forest! Blood red eyes, eating my friends.....you gotta go kill it! She got them all! I checked, went down the whole line....all of them were dead!"
He then turned and ran, shoving his way though the circle of men to drop at Yxai's feet, his arms around her knees, "Lady, why didn't you warn us? Why'd you let one of your pets into the forest? It nearly killed us all!" He cried, looking up at her in fear.

Urius watched, impressed, as the giant single-handedly annihilated the hydra and then used its own spine as a weapon. In fact, the minotaur almost had to pick up his jaw from the ground. His little scuffle with the werewolf seemed like child's play compared to what Avaarick just accomplished. When the giant turned to look at him, he simply said with a laugh and a shake of his head, "Avaarick... I will be telling this tale to everyone I see for the rest of my life. I'm thoroughly impressed."
Soon the action died down and they looked around to spot the cause. The duel between Brave and the dark elf had begun. Looking over to Avaarick, he beckoned. "We must ensure that none of Aienter's soldiers interfere. I have not seen as much honor as I would like to have seen from them, and I don't trust them to stay back, even at the orders of the dark elf."
Making his way through the throng of soldiers, he positioned himself between the duel and some of the black-armored soldiers and creatures with a snarl. Nikon's spear sparked with electricity and lightning, testing them. Once again he stood as a sentry against the enemy.

Avvarick's sharp senses heard the screaming soldier long before he saw him. He watched calmly as the soldier ran headlong into his massive leg. The impact hardly startled Avaarick, but the soldier was knocked down and thoroughly winded him. He scrambled to his feet and made his way towards the large dualing circle that had formed on the field.
Avaarick saw Yxia and Brave about to dual when the frightened soldier prostrate himself at her feet. Hoping to unsettle the Aienstar witch, Avaarick reached down and grabbed a small pebble. Taking aim he hurled the small rock with incredible precision and strength. It Easily pierced the helmet and skull of the soldier, but lacked the velocity to create an exit wound. The pebble bounced around inside the man's head, turning his brain to mash.
Avaarick let out a chuckle as the pathetic soldier lay lifeless, his hands wrapped around Yxia's leg. Satisfied with his performance, he followed Urius to the circle, the spine lay across his left shoulder, but he kept one hand on it to intimidate any Aienstar troops who might elect to interfere, as well as boost the morale of the Garis and Balan soldiers.

Kunwir looked down at a spectral arm jutting out of the stubbed armor. he then looked to Marcus, being consumed by rage as he rushed forward. he started swinging wildly, making several mistakes as he lost control of his arm completely.

(Sorry for the wait. I was waiting on Sephora to post so I can just get all three out of the way. But what the hell? Might as well continue the other two in the mean time)
Cecilia Light
Cecilia's eyes darted to him as he made his entrance. The soldiers began to move to defend their commander, Mardek among them. But, she didn't let them. She held up a hand and walked past them to face Rurik. "Stand down. This one's mine. Continue your objective. Garis forces are to obey Mardek of Balan for the time being," she ordered. Then smiled savagely as she drew Yang from its sheathe, flipping it into the air once before drawing Yin and catching it. "Maybe you'll give me a challenge."
The first think Rurik would sense about her blades were that his powers wouldn't affect them. At all. They were made of a material outside his realm of control. Though, for the life of him, I'm sure he couldn't figure out what.
As the two squared off, Mardek began to get his troops back into formation, moving deeper into the forest. Though, the werewolves were starting to close in again. They saw the deadliest warrior was occupied. They could now attack once more.
Marcus Benign
Marcus smiled cruelly as he stepped back, weaving past every hit. Before he got far, he slashed out with his scimitar, slashing the blade in half and letting it fall uselessly to the ground, the magic glowing along the slash. He then twisted quickly, slashing down to slice into the armor. "You are powerful...just no where near powerful enough to kill the new God of this world..." he stated quietly, smirking widely in his anticipation of victory.
