(as could i) Meptoa trys one last ditch attempt to free Fivlar before he would try breaking out again, knowing Fivlar would be of great help.

(rolled three times, to give you more chances: 7, 1, 6. I'm using the 1, because it'll also get them off)
As Meptoa forces the bonds open, they explode, dealing 36 base damage to Meptoa and 30 base damage to Fivlar. Meptoa's is cut twice to 9, so he's at 36 now. Unfortunately, Fivlar's WASN'T cut, so he ends up against the wall, unconscious. (At -7)
(That...was not what I'd hoped for for damage ><)

(damn... he's my healer too... the only chance to bring him back is to 'story-mod' using Mep and bring something from the unlockables in like we did with the Soul Vengence when Trobilu went down.

(Don't worry, I won't let him die this early in the chapter. Continue like normal.)

... .. .
Meptoa, realizing what had happened, went to Trobilu, who was calmly sitting against the wall, and attempted to force the bonds off. (what all is near shadows that could be weaponized?)

(The bonds. That's about it unless you want to swing the other prisoner around.)
(Rolled twice. 6 the first time. 18 the second.) Meptoa managed to break the bonds on Trobilu's arms. His legs, however, were still bound.
One of the guards leaves and the jailer makes his weapon disappear. The other two guards move a little closer to the door and take defensive positions again.

(what about the rest of the room? loose wooden legs on tables, keys, anything that Trobilu could utilize as an improvised weapon?)
Meptoa looks to the guards then to Fivlar, then to Trobilu, who tried to concentrate his insubstantiability to his legs while using the (hopefully) extra leverage to pry the bonds off with Meptoa's help. (i do not think that Meptoa would be able to take on all three at one time.)

(Outside of the cell isn't an issue yet, but there's a table, well constructed. With some work, Trobilu could do it. TN 14.)
(TN 14 for the bonds with help, too.) Even with Meptoa's help, Trobilu doesn't release his legs. While they're busy with that, the jailer makes two swords with static.

Trobilu continues to try to pry open the bonds as Meptoa looks to Fivlar, trying to summon the Soul Vengence, but failing. he then puts all his might into a rush at the door.

(Tried 4 times. 4 12 1 9. None succeeded) Trobilu remains trapped.
Meptoa breaks down the door, flattening one of the guards (not even going to roll for damage; he's dead).
(Check for attack of opportunity: base 10 - Body - Spirit, no penalty for having to draw their weapons, since they're already drawn: Guard 1 needs 7: 2 Guard 2 needs 6: 5 Both succeed. Mep has +2 to his avoidance, so base 12 -4 for Body. Guard 1 adds 2, Guard 2 adds 3. To avoid, Mep needs 10 or higher to avoid the first, 11 for the second. The jailer wasn't surprised either, and adds 6 to Mep's avoidance, 4 from body, 2 from using a static weapon. Meptoa needs a 14 or higher to avoid. Rolls 13 15 13 19. (The guard has two swords))
Meptoa avoids the first two guards. The jailer, on the other hand, hits with one sword, dealing 7d2+12: 26 damage. (10-4 required. Roll: 7. Success. Cut to 13). Meptoa takes 13 damage. 23/45 HP (hehe. 2345) remaining.
(If you want, we can switch to the new HP system. HP itself isn't used for the majority of damage in it. If you've played Deadlands, you'll recognize it.)
