None of them had any idea what the shadow thing was saying, but Nelei moved out from behind Feryn. "The people fled from magic. It wasn't harmful magic, but it was still magic." Feryn turned around. She hadn't expected the little girl to stay. She had no reason to, nor any defense should things turn sour. "I...oh, here they come." Nelei was hoping this wouldn't happen; it was any mage's worst fear: The hunters. Hunter Leader HP 27/27 Lv 5 Body 4, Mind 3, Heart 2, Perception 1 Determined 4 Longsword 4 Masterful Quality Sword 4 (Adds 4 damage, roll to see if it works. Failure gives only 2 bonus damage) Damager 4 Nullify (antispell) 4 (Cancels most weaker sustained spells in the area) Heavy Armor 4 Hunter Lieutenant HP 13/13 Lv 4 Body 4, Heart 3, Mind 2, Perception 1 Heavy Armor 4 Determined 4 Longsword 4 Shield 4 Flaming Weapon 4 (Adds 2d2 fire (magical) damage) Armor Piercing 3 (described below) Hunter Archer HP 14/14 Lv 3 Perception 4, Body 3, Heart 2, Mind 1 Longbow 4 Armor Piercing 4 (deals 4 more damage AFTER reduction) Jagged Arrows 4 (Causes target with blood to bleed for 0-4 damage per turn) Medium Armor 4 (Same effect as Heavy Armor, only at a +1 penalty) Determined 4 Steady Hands 2 (+3 to divide between all to-hit rolls) Hunter Swordsman HP 3/3 (damn, he's unlucky ) Lv 3 Body 3, Perception 3, Heart 2, Mind 2 Longsword 4 Determined 4 Shield 4 Heavy Armor 4 (not that it matters with him only having 3 HP :/) Jagged Sword 4 (Causes target with blood to bleed for 0-4 damage per turn) Evasion 2 Hunter Assassin HP 12/12 Lv 3 Body 4, Mind 3, Perception 2, Heart 1 Silent Step 4 Light Armor 4 (Same as heavy armor, but at +2 penalty) Twin Daggers 4 Armor Piercing 4 Evasion 4 Pride 2 The leader will order them to attack Trobilu, the one they saw using magic. He will stay out of battle until one of his men dies. Nelei will use Blood Slave on the archer, since the hunters would have to run back to attack him. (Blood Slave 3 at +1 penalty (Mind 1)) Pietra will defend Feryn, attacking the swordsman. Feryn will use Blood Control to make the swordsman bleed.

(damn... 3 HP... he should die of fear alone at that rate...)
at Nelei's words, Meptoa's soul slammed back into the armor while it moved to intercept the lieutenant, going full bore, planning to plow through him and head for the leader or the archer.
Trobilu decided that assassin vs assassin would be the best way to go, moving to intercept, drawing the dual daggers as he aimed for the assassins neck(juggular vein to be exact) and the main artery in the assasin's right arm just above the inside of the elbow.
(also, how the hell do we heal Meptoa?)

(Blacksmith ^~^ No, I think he'd heal the same as Trobilu...unless you object, of course; he's your character. But...I'm pretty sure he's safe for a while ^~^
Oh, and using the d20, conditional penalties, like called shots, are doubled, since 20 is a much larger number than 6.)
Nelei gets first initiative, having noticed the hunters first, then Pietra (Faster Than Normal), then Trobilu, then Feryn, then Meptoa. Then I'll just do all the enemies in order because I'm feeling lazy right now >//<
(Blood Slave will still function under the d6 rules)
Nelei attempts to make the archer her slave (Blood Slave 3 with +1 mind penalty: 3), and immediately, both her and her slave begin to bleed.
Pietra attempts to bring her sword down on the swordsman (10 -4 (Longsword) -4 (Body) -4 (Faster than Normal) + 3 (Swordsman Body) +2 (Swordsman Evasion) = 3. Roll: 12) and succeeds, dealing (5d2+4+4 defense: Body 3, Shield 4, Heavy Armor 4: Base 13. Defense rolls: 4, 1, 5; Pass, Pass, Pass. Damage cut from 13 to...) 2 damage. The swordsman survived, miraculously, but the weight of the blow stunned him (Lost more than half HP in one hit). Swordsman has 1 HP remaining.
Trobilu carefully, but quickly, lines up his attacks (10 -4 (Deft Strike) -4 (Dual Daggers) -2 (Body) +4 (Assassin Body) +4 (Assassin Evasion) +2 (Called Shot) = 10. Rolls: 12, 18) and both hit their targets. In addition to causing bleeding (since 2 is the base rank for anything, he bleeds for 0-2 per turn for both points, so 0-4), the attacks deal (3d2+6, Defense: Body 4, Light Armor 4 (+2 penalty): Base damage: 10, 12. Defense rolls: 6, 5+2, 2, 6+2; Damage for the second is cut in half, but the first attack hits at full force), the assassin dies.
Feryn sees Nelei bleeding and uses Flesh Mending (still using d6: 3; success), knitting Nelei's flesh back together.
(Plowing through him counts as a single attack, moreso to overpower the lieutenant then to kill him. Damage will be the 9d2+12 one) Meptoa charges at the lieutenant (10 -4 (Body) -4 (Unarmed Fighting) +4 (Lieutenant Body) = 6. Roll: 16) and knocks him to the ground, dealing (Base 26, Defense: Body 4, Shield 4, Heavy Armor 4: 4, 4, 6: Cuts damage twice) 7 damage. Lieutenant has 6 HP remaining.
(Hunter Leader Perception check to see if he notices his archer is a blood slave: 5; fail)
The leader of the hunters sees his assassin killed and rushes in after Trobilu (10 -4 (Body) -4 (Determined) -4 (Longsword) +2 (Body) +2 (Insubstantial) +2 (Movement from the back row) = 4. Roll: 14), hitting him for (5d2+20 (let's hope you're lucky; Trobilu has 8 HP left ><): Base 29. Defense: Body 2, Insubstantial 2, (and just to give you a better chance of survival) Silent Step 3: 1, 5, 2. Damage is cut twice to) 8 damage (damnit >< I tried to help ><), killing Trobilu (if one can kill him. Whatever happens to him when his HP reaches 0).
The lieutenant was knocked down, so gets to his feet.
Nelei, seeing someone who was indirectly fighting to save her, has the archer shoot the leader (10 -3 (Unedited Steady Hands) -4 (Perception) -4 (Longbow) +4 (Leader Heavy Armor) (Others don't apply for a surprise attack) = 3. Roll: 20, Critical (+50% damage after reduction)) hitting him squarely in the chest, dealing (5d2 (Longbow counts as medium) +8: Base 16. Defense: Heavy Armor 4: 3. Damage is cut in half. 8 +4 (Armor Piercing) +6 (Critical) = ) 18 damage, bringing him to 9 HP, but also getting his attention on the archer. He is also bleeding (Jagged Arrows)
The swordsman is stunned and the assassin is dead.
The archer takes 3 damage from bleeding, bringing him to 11 HP. The leader takes 0 damage from bleeding.
(I'm adding a penalty for two attacks from now on. The chance to hit suffers a +2 penalty. Also...sorry about Trobilu >< You can make another character that can meet up with them somewhere if you want!)

(he cannot really die, but he must pull back and hide until he can be healed. as for Meptoa being healed, when he levels up, i will add a skill for him to be able to repair himself, but he has no blood. Trobilu will lose 1hp per turn, until -10, at which time he will need a d20 to be rolled, with anything under a 5 meaning that he wills himself to hang on. Meptoa may also impart part of his soul to him, losing some off of his max hp, to bring Trobilu back.)
as Trobilu falls, Meptoa falls into a rage, his soul coating the outside of the armor as he charges the leader with surprising speed, going for a full bodied slam. (the soul coating would usuall do cold fire damage usually, but that is up to you, as is how the slam works. and the soul coating effects Meptoa like bleeding would anyone else)
Trobilu fell to the ground, not dead, but delerious and desperate, falling back as best he could, trying to hide as he was losing his will to live. 'damn.' he thought to himself, 'i have pulled off better jobs than this. i must keep on for Meptoa... i will become the Master Assasin...'

(Yeah, I'll leave the "-10 is death" thing, but it will be DEATH, even for him. Have to keep this fair. But I will heal him this turn. It's not like they won't win this fight now ^~^ 5-on-5 with a blood mage and...whatever you'd consider Meptoa...well, yeah. I'm scaling the groups up from here >< You should invest in armor for Trobilu on the next level or some form of evasion. I'm debating changing the rules for equipment. Make it separate from the traits and assets, but also have it limited by points. Only 8 points, though. Then, you can have daggers AND skill in daggers or be equipped with a greatsword, but no skill in it. Then it would make sense to have the skills. Obviously, it won't affect the current game, but what do you think of it?
As for Meptoa's charge thing...I'll allow it this time, but next time, list it as a trait/asset. It'll do the standard 2d2 damage, equivalent to "flaming weapons", but also doing 4d2-4 to him and will continue until the end of this battle or until Nelei heals Trobilu. So just this turn.)
Turn order is Pietra (Faster Than Normal 4), Meptoa (Charging, Vengeance), Hunter Leader, Nelei, Hunter Archer, Hunter Lieutenant, Feryn.
Pietra brings her sword down on the swordsman again (10 -4 (Body) -4 (Longsword) -4 (Faster Than Normal) -4 (Bloodlust) = -6, autohit (nothing factors in since he's stunned)), killing him (since...you know, he had 1 HP).
Meptoa, in rage, charges the leader (10 -4 (Body) -4 (Unarmed Fighting) +2 (Vengeance, with damage increase) +4 (Leader Body) +4 (Shield) -2 (Charging) = 10. Roll: 12), bowling him over and (9d2+2d2+12. Base 30. Defense: Body 4, Heavy Armor 4: 1, 6, Cut once to 15) killing him.
Nelei, not wanting to see someone sacrifice themselves for her, even if it's not intentional, bites hard into her arm, causing herself to bleed profusely, then using Blood Sacrifice to heal Trobilu. (Blood Sacrifice 4: 3; success. Rolled 27 for transfer, but she chooses to only give 9). She heals him for 9, bringing both her and Trobilu to 9 HP.
Nelei then has the hunter archer shoot the lieutenant (same chance as last time: 15. Hit. Damage: 5d2 +8. Base 17. Even if it's cut (only once for heavy armor)...), killing him.
Feryn hesitates, not approving of Nelei's magic, but convinces herself to attempt to stop Nelei's bleeding again anyway (Flesh Mending 4: 4) and succeeds.
The archer takes 0 damage from bleeding. He remains at 11 HP.

(i think the equipment being separate is a good idea, as well as having the skills. also, even if Trobilu dies, he will be 'reincarnated'... much like Meptoa is now, but smaller...)
Trobilu feels strength return to him, and gets up, still recovering from the shock of the near death experience, and half attempts a pass on the last of the hunters, the archer.
Meptoa sees Nelei heal Trobilu, and makes a mental note that he will repay her, even if it means he fades from the world permanantly. Meptoa's soul calms, returning to its confines. (this takes his turn, being the penalty for his rage.)

(I'll allow it. I don't like having to kill off people's characters.
Also, I think 8 points may be too many. That will get perfect armor and a perfect weapon. I'll reduce it to 6. 4 is too few (though I'd go for Dagger 1 (x2) and Light Armor 2))
Pietra, unable to contain her bloodlust, runs to the archer. Both her and Trobilu will reach him at the same time. Feryn, meanwhile, watches for more hunters. Nelei uses Blood Sacrifice, with the archer as her willing target (roll: 1, heals 50% more than is drained (not that it matters); drains 13 HP, killing the archer and healing her for 150% of the damage dealt (technically, 11, so) 17, fully healing her. Pietra and Trobilu will just have to be disappointed for now.
(Pietra, Feryn, and Meptoa leveled up from that fight. Pietra now has 1 rank in Evasion and Feryn picked up a new Heal spell. Tobilu WOULD HAVE leveled up, but he lost half the experience for dying. He's pretty close, though. Meptoa has one trait point to spend. Do you want to spend it on like..."Self Repair 1 (restores (rank)d6 HP)"? Also, I'm cutting the "+level" from Blood Sacrifice and allowing the slave to resist orders to break the spell and, obviously, allowing them to think and remember what they did.)
Feryn begins to look uncomfortable. "We...we should definitely go now. We'll likely have them chasing us from now on. Where do we go from here?" She honestly had no idea. It wasn't like there was anywhere safe for mages or their friends, especially after they became murderers.
Nelei thought about it, but then realized that the hunters could outrun her. She'd need longer..."Someone will have to carry me. I'm not very fast. If you're going to take me, I mean. I can handle myself for a while, but they're going to get me if I don't have help."
Pietra nodded. "I'll carry you." That was all she said before scooping up Nelei and putting Nelei's arms around her shoulders. "You'll have to hang on with your legs."

(i will post the trait for Meptoa in the character thread. i have a special way to do it that will be better, yet have more chance involved.) Meptoa offers, using Trobilu as his mouthpiece, since he is the largest and she could practically sit on his shoulder as a lookout. Trobilu adds in that they have contacts all around the city as well as an underground network of caves.(how else would wanted assassins get around. he also adds that they would have to go through some hoops to get there if that was the group decision, also mentioning that they were in it together now.(this would also be a haven for them to rest and plan the coup d'état. also, there would be few fighters, but many that would gain intelligence.)

(What do you mean in that last sentence?)
Pietra frowns at the idea of not only letting a man carry around the little one, but a man in heavy armor, much heavier than her own. (She doesn't know what he is). Feryn is about to agree that she'd consider it, since her hiding places had a habit of getting raided, but Nelei shook her head violently. "We can't talk about this now."
Feryn catches on almost immediately. "She's right. If we say that's what we're doing, they'll likely find us. We can't say what we're doing." She thought for a second. "We have to be unpredictable. Or find somewhere quieter to discuss this. Maybe another method of communication?"
Nelei thought for a second. "We could use the language of my people. Almost no one ever bothers to learn it. We'd have to write everything, of course, but it couldn't be too hard. It's not too difficult to learn. We'll have to find somewhere safe first, though."

(well, a coup d'état is a violent and sudden overthrow of government. if that was what you were asking about. the very last sentence is in referance to the members of the underground.) Trobilu looks to Meptoa, who agrees, then turns back, "follow me." he sped up slightly, entering a main street off of the square, taking a few turns through some back allies, taking them to a slightly less savory part of the faith district. he then went down an alley to a dead end. walking to the left corner as he disappears, popping his head back out. "illusion... come on." he then vanished again, Meptoa followed, barely fitting through the space. a pair of large double doors made of metal were hidden by another illusion in an area between the buildings that widened some. a chain with a lock held the doors tight, or so it looked. Trobilu reached up, pulling the doors open, revealing that the chains were painted on.
the room had no windows and no light, until Meptoa went in, lighting a lantern with eeire frost blue flames which illuminated the dusty room easily, showing a couple of old tables and benches, as well as an old couch. (Trobilu will lock them in with a chain and lock. there is another exit for emergencies, but it would take them to the edge of the city.)
