(OH! Ohohoh, I was thinking of a different meaning of "gain intelligence" ^~^ Also, there are no less savory parts of the Faith District. But that point doesn't really matter ^~^ And since there are also 2 mages, there'll be some extra light if they feel it's to dark. Nelei will.)
Pietra follows with Nelei on her back. She doesn't like this business of following a man into a dark underground place. When he goes through the wall, Pietra stops. She assumes it's because he's some kind of ghost, as far as she can tell, until he pops his head out. Then she walks through it, with some hesitation, unlike Feryn, who walks through it calmly, like nothing's wrong at all. When they reach the second illusionary wall, Feryn speaks up. "It's not practical to use a second illusionary wall. It'll buy us maybe a minute if we're running." She shrugs. She was never really interested in stuff like that, though she knew she should be.
When Meptoa lights the lantern, Nelei still feels it's too dark (blame the cat-like features of the Nyane) and raises an arm a little, just so the slightly less dim magical mist from her hand doesn't burn Pietra (though she'd never even tried to use it offensively). However, Pietra does turn her head a little to the side to avoid the light a little.
Nelei slides off Pietra's back, landing on the floor almost silently. "Well, it's not a hard language to learn. It's only written, though. It's from before we learned to speak and adapted our verbal language around the humans'. This is our ancient language, not the new one, so don't go around telling everyone you know it. We don't normally teach it to anyone and my people already dislike me enough." She drops to her knees on the floor in the middle of the room and starts drawing with her fingers, leaving glowing marks on the floor. "This word means 'people'. If you want to say friends or whatever, it's 'good people', so you have to add this little mark here. For bad people, it's this one..." She erases the mark with the side of her hand and draws another.
Over the next hour, she draws the big symbols on the floor (and up one of the walls when she runs out of room in her line). "Feel free to memorize them now. They're not going to stay there forever.
(If you want, post an updated character sheet for the new rules, unless you want to keep the rules we have in effect. Keep in mind, you can have up to two more drives (which I will change to "motivations", since that's what they are and I like the word better), with an additional type: Fears. I'll update mine after you update yours, in case you decide not to. Just post them in your character thread (which might as well be the OOC thread))
